I found a glass cake stand with a dome at Target for $9.99. It's pretty cute too. It's not fine crystal, but I thought some of you might want to grab a few for storing cakes, displaying demos or something like that.

Considering the ones at Crate and Barrel are $50.00, this is a pretty nice deal.

Thank you for sharing this info. How big is it in width? How tall is the dome? Sorry to be a pain.

It's no trouble (:

Base: 4-1/2Hx11-3/4" dia.
Dome: 7Hx11-1/4" dia.

Thank you for this tip!! I have a 9" dome and it is never big enough, I have looked for awhile for a resonably priced larger one and haven't been able to find one.

I will definitely buy one of these.

Thanks for that tip. I've been wanting to buy another cake plate. My 13-year old and I are both taking course 3 and it sure would look better to have something other than a cookie sheet to put our cakes on. I'll be at target today getting one.

I got one today!!! It can also be used for a punch bowl!!! Thanks for sharing your good fortune Niki!!

Box says it 11.5H x 11.25 in dia. (29cmx 28.5cm)

Hello all.....this cake plate and dome can also be bought at walmart...that is where I got mine. the price is always around $9.99 or so. I love mine!
Just thought you all would like to know in case you don't have a Target around.

I'm going to Walmart, I'm going to Walmart, Walmart here I come !!!

Now if I can only get out of there with just the cake plate in my cart....life will be good, but this thought will probably be just a fairy tale, me buy just one thing.... not in this lifetime !!!
