Nothing to do with you, OP. However, all the people that get "offended" when people don't comment on pictures...I'm over it.
Not everyone has the time to make comments on all your pictures. I don't expect all of CC to say how nice (or not nice!) my cake was. I can see how many people viewed the picture- and that's OK with me.

I can see where you are coming from but that wasn't the intention of my post at all. There's no way to navigate through the entire site on a daily basis to see all the cakes. I realize that. My question was meant in a light hearted way.

Oh, I know... just venting icon_redface.gif
But like I mentioned, just noticing the views my picture has makes me happy icon_smile.gif

One of my cakes hit 100 faves and I did a little happy dance. I was pretty proud. I was not the cake the I would have thought would be so popular. I made a 3-foot chocolate dragon that everyone went nuts over. So far no one has commented on it or marked it as a fav. I am chalking it up to the fact that CC must have been busy that day. icon_smile.gif
I appreciate all the feedback I get. I try to leave positive feedback when I have the time. A lot of times when I am looking for inspiration, I just click on several pics that interest me. I am usually down to the wire so I may not leave comments. I have to assume there are people out there like me.
So views, comments, favs are all good in my book.

Wow, until reading this forum today. I always felt getting more views than favorites was kinda depressing...but now seeing that at least it caught enough interest for someone to at least look makes me feel better...I love the comments, but there has been times when I felt my cakes really wasn't good enough and would wait till late to post my pics to get them into my gallery unnoticed...maybe one day I'll feel more deserving and not so mediocre about most my cakes.

But reading this forum sure helped put some perspective on it icon_rolleyes.gif

I posted my first photo today, and that alone felt great. Receiving a comment on it was terrific. So I guess a single comment is enough to lift the spirit!

people should think about cake karma too - the more cakes you comment on, the more people see your name, who might click on your name, and them comment or favourite your pics.

I am personally excited if one person has looked at my photos or given me a comment. Being a novice, I'm in disbelief when someone puts one of mine in a favorite list. There are so many fantastic decorators on this site that I just enjoy the camaraderie of the site, and all that I learn from you guys.

After being here a few years it's easy to see how many more cakes are posted now, so it's hard for any of them to get tons of notice. I'll be the first to admit I've posted a few that I thought would go over much better than they did, but you just have to shake that off. I'm very happy with how much better my cakes are than they were at the beginning and I appreciate any and all comments and favorite saves. I've been lucky enough to have 2 cakes with 74 favorites each, which I never would have dreamed about the day I joined! Although, I'll admit, than I would LOVE for over 100 favorite saves for any of my cakes!! icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif I covet that All Time Popular Cakes row!!!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I dosent matter to me how many fav's or views. I just enjoy sharing my cakes and looking at everyone elses.

My husband on the other hand looks at my pic's all the time. He is alway showing them off. It just lets me know he s proud of what I do.

I am the wrong person to say something here..But I love CC
Usually my cakes get comments and favorites.

My Topsy Turvy has over 8693 views with1093 favorites and 90 comments. Kind of unreal to me!..

Then again I have a lonely spongebob cake with 158 views, no favorites and 1 comment..I think that one was a pitty comment.. icon_lol.gif
I made that came years ago when the pan came out for my son, just for fun..That was the last time I bought a star pan.. Hate them!..

I think I would rather have a comment by someone who was geniune in looking at my photos than some Gallery Support saying in a post that their is 12 pages of uncommented photos out that they feel that every post needs a comment. And they are just going through the motions of commenting on every post. It means more to me when I see the second post from a genuine person, who click on my photo and said "hey that is great and I love your so-so on that cake." Don't get me wrong. I love see what any person said about my cake. But I really get a rush when you get a couple comments or a someone puts my cake in a FAV category. I am on a high all day.

The best comment I could get is from the person(s) that I made the cake for. I post my pictures on this site to give others ideas on their designs. If I get comments great, if I don't thats fine as well. I don't get upset if nobody notices or makes comments.

Now if I were to enter one of the CC contests, and I didn't get any love from any of the members...

I agree with cb_one. My customers' happiness satisfies me. It is, however, a little annoying when you get 86 views and 8 people add it to their faves but not ONE comment. If you have the time to add it to your faves, maybe you could leave a little note saying what you liked about it?

I have to be honest. I really like it and appreciate it when I get views, but I LOVE it when i get at least 1 comment or 1 person having my cake in their faves. Who doesn't, right? I don't really have customers yet. So far I've only done cakes for family, so I haven't experienced the pleasure of getting praises by customers like some of you lucky CC'ers, but hopefully some day icon_biggrin.gif . So personally, that's why I like it when I get views, comments, and faves. It's good to know that completely unbiased people I don't know sometimes like my cakes icon_smile.gif
