1cup regular sugar weighs approximately 8oz.1 cup powdered sugar = approx 4oz
It also depends on the application... the cannot be swapped out in every recipe, since PS behave very differently than granulated sugar. If you tell us what recipe this is for, we may be able to help with more specific instructions.
