can anybody help me with a good chocolate cake recipe? It will need to be a scratch one as I am in the Uk and don't have access to any of the box mixes that you have in the US. I made one last week and was really disappointed as it was a lot drier than my usual vanilla sponge (just substituted cocoa instead of some flour) a few friends agreed it was not as nice as my usual vanilla sponge. Wondering what I can do to make a delicious chocolatey cake? Thanks in anticipation of your advice?ideas.

i like the recipe of the back of the hershey's cocoa can. I replace the water with coffee. Super moist and very chocolate-y
