Why Can't Everyone Be Nominated?

Ok, so this afternoon as I was browsing the forums I noticed the "Nominate me for the CC Member Spotlight" tab and I was wondering what qualifies members to be nominated? Not everyone has the tab and I looked and it did not seem like it had to do with the number of posts. Anyone know?

You change that tab in profile, I believe.

I don't think so. I have the nomination tab, but I just looked at "My Forum Info" and my profile and there is no place to remove it.
This came up in a recent topic. Somewhere in the "rules", the terms are stated. I believe that there is a minimum number of posts and other requirements, such as having posted pictures.
Looks to me that everyone who is regular member has it.
Yes, you have to have at least one photo in the gallery!

This means you have not met the minimum requirements for being nominated.
The minimum requirements are:
You must have made at least 100 posts in the forums
You must upload at least 1 photo outside of the Naughty cakes gallery
You must have gallery comments activated on your account.
You must be subscribed to the cakecentral.com newsletter
If you feel you have met all the requirements, and you still do not see the button in your posts, please contact us."

Ok, so it sounds like you have to upload at least one cake photo and you have to receive the newsletter...makes sense.

Down side is, I don't post pictures on the internet.
I've been through the photo theft from my website process when I was in business and it was just an icky process to go through.
When all was said and done with I swore I'd never put up another picture of a professional cake again, and haven't 7 years later.
I guess I'll have to do a for fun cake and post it if I ever get the desire to be nominated.
