Thanks Bashini I don't think I'll be making the gumpaste I just always thought that  flower paste and gumpaste were pretty much the same thing.

Nanny Love everything about the cake my partner said for you to make him one to and he doesn't even like fondant but loves star wars.

I usually just store stuff like that in a cardboard cake box or something similar not plastic containers though.

AThanks all, lovely comments.

Chasingmytail, your right I did do it in one go as took me so long to colour the icing I was afraid I'd run out, I dont normally, I used Renshaws SP, I used 1500grms, maybe abit more, got some left over, I surprised how well that actually went, hardly needed to smooth it over, was so happy with the finish, I did have a few creases but managed to smooth out with trex

Thanks Jean, think hubby likes it more!

Roxy, come on you can make that for him.

That is one big cake!!

ANanny do you mean board and cake covered together all in one go ie: no sp under cake ? Sorry if this sounds silly but just want to understand what you mean ??

AHa ha roxy you are funny! Of course yours would be the same, why wouldn't it be?

Yes this Time I covered it all in one go, for two reasons really, one obviously wasnt sure if I had enough coloured sp, ans secondly I wanted a continuation of space, if I did it in two then I would have had to cover the join which I didn't want to do,

ABarbara that cake is amazing!! Your Gandson is going to be one very happy chappy tomorrow. I'll have muscles to match yours tomorrow as I have to colour the paste for Oliver's cake and board. I decided not to play with the airbrush on his cake incase

AIt's going to be sky blue. It's got to cover a 10 inch and 14 inch board so going to need about 1.5kgs I think. I'm doing a minion avenger cake. I've been making the minions the last couple of nights. Got to finish Thor and iron man tonight and I'm going to do 5-6 normal minions too. I really need to learn how to do the rkt thing but just didn't have time to practice this week so had to make the minions smaller because of the weight of them. Need more to fill the 10 inches now :)

I have just finished my rosary beads, I used the cross of my daughter's rosary beads and made a mould with old fondant and I have just sprayed it silver with my airbrush. I was surprised the fondant mould picked up so much of the detail on the cross, I will be using that trick again.

Thanks Nanny and Petitecat, I watched this video on you tube after my silicone mould didn't set think it has past its use by date but fondant one worked great, had to break the mould though to get the cross out in one piece but if I ever need another I can Just make a new one
