I do a lot of 1/2 sheets. Currently I use 2 box mixes to fill the pan. I would like to have at least a vanilla (or butter) and chocolate scatch recipe for a pan of that size. Anybody have any recipes they could share with me?....Thanks!
Hope I didn't offend anybody with the term "half sheet". Off the top of my head I think the pan I'm using is 15x11x3.
Oh, no offense at all! It's just that so many cake civilians hap-hazardly throw those terms around and they've NO idea what size they are talking about. Even here on CC, there is debate and discussion on what's what.
So when you said "half sheet .... 2 mixes", I knew something was off. ![]()
I use the WASC recipe for the 12X18X2 inch and the 11X15X3 inch with little or no waste.
The full recipe of WASC cake, using 2 DH white cake mixes yields a tad over 14 cups of batter.
13x9x2 layer cake will take all 14 cups of batter.
(7 cups per layer.)
12x18x2 layer cake takes 28 cups of batter.
(14 cups per layer.)
11x15x2 layer cake takes 22 cups of batter.
(11 cups per layer.)

Above thread has the WASC cake recipe with variations. Here's another chocolate variation by Cakepro:
