They are going to be adjourned while the house is in session and then they will be back. From Previous experience (of watch the legislature in session for 3 days waiting for the bill to be read) The will probably be in session for a hour or 2. I don't know that for sure That is just a estimate though.
I presume they will start with HB3282 when they get back because that was what they where discussing when they adjourned. They weren't done yet. (Kelley hadn't testified yet)

Lanibird-
I loved that line (I cheered when I heard it lol ) that is what I basically said in my written testimony.

So did I. I'm glad they archive these live feeds; I tried to sneak in a shower before they started, but ended up missing almost all of Gattis opening statement. That's what I get for wanting to be clean. icon_lol.gif

Ok, I'll just keep refreshing the Legislature Online page, keeping an eye on the little "Adjourned Until" status update in the corner.

Hey all! We are here in the cafeteria, and I have my laptop and they have free wifi!!! Tax dollars at work.

We thought the morning went well. We're all big fans of Rep. Gattis now!

Not so much the Health Dept. lady.

We have a group of about 25. There are quite a few 'against'. More on that later. icon_confused.gif

Now I'm eating something so I won't faint when I testify. I was bouncing in my seat when they were asking Gattis questions, because I wanted to answer them!

I will try to catch the video later when you guys testify.

kwineinger - The committee is in recess while the members are in session for the house. When the full House adjourns, and the committee hearing starts up again, they should re-start the feed! thumbs_up.gif I know, I'm anxious too. icon_biggrin.gif

lol at Kelley bouncing in her seat! icon_lol.gif

Hey Kelley, how many testimonies did you end up getting? Did you make it to 50?

For the notification when the House adjourns? I've just been keeping the page for HB 3282 up, but up in the right hand corner it has a "House: Adjourned Until Tue, March 24, 2009 10:00am" http://www.legis.state.tx.us/BillLookup/History.aspx?LegSess=81R&Bill=HB3282

I'm just going to keep refreshing every few minutes until it changes! Or, if someone is so inclined they could watch the live feed of the House session, waiting to see when it ends: http://www.house.state.tx.us/media/welcome.php

AlamoSweets: The link to the live feeds is http://www.house.state.tx.us/media/welcome.php

If you click on "Live House Chamber stream" you'll see what is going on at the House chamber.

The Public Health committee is being shown on "Live Stream 5" but nothing is showing right now since they are in recess.

You need the RealPlayer or RealOnePlayer software installed on your computer to watch the videos

Yes, if you clicked on the Public Health committee stream, they are not back yet. I assume you have to click again on the link when the time comes but I really don't know...

Not yet. The House is still in session.

If you missed what happened earlier this morning, the feed is already in the archive http://www.house.state.tx.us/committees/broadcasts.php?session=81&committeeCode=410 and it starts at about 29:30 into the video.

The streaming is back on for the public health committee. The house hasn't adjourned but they are just reading and refering bills then they will be adjourned. The committe should start soon.

The house is adjourned which as I understand it means that the Public Health committee will start any minute. As soon as everyone gets from the house to the committee room.

For errors it says: Please Note: If the RealPlayer or RealOne Player is not responding or you
are getting an error message, the meeting either has not started or has ended.

Does anyone have sound now?
