Hi Everyone,
Please help! I am new to making cakes and I am trying to figure out how to make a zipper and how to make it look silver. Can anyone tell me how?

If you are making it out of fondant I would say you would probably need to use silver luster dust. I think that is what most of the decorators use. Don't take my word on it though as I have never done it personally.

put zipper or leather jacket into the search
they have 2 different kind
one looks like royal icing----zipper
other one has the silver look----leather jacket (harley jacket)
sorry new here too, dont know how to make the link yet

Not sure if you have time to play around but, I was thinking using a real zipper and pressing some icing on it that will harden (royal icing or something) and then it will make a negative and you could press some fondant into the 'mold' and it would make the design? Could work, perhaps, then silver dust ontop.....
