What a way to start the year! Congrats!

It is a 2nd kitchen in our basement that is separate from the rest of our living quarters. It really isnt THAT big. It is about 220 square feet. big enough.

well of course the first time she comes it was spotless. I hope she wont catch me in a bad place next time when it is a surprise inspection! I think I will be fine though, without all of my other everyday junk laying around (like my regular kitchen) , I think I will do a good job keeping clean and organized.

ugh, the health dept caught me in a bad spot today.....my hand sink just fell off.....well i managed to put it back on, but i hadn't been able to get the pipes back on....

i hadn't called the plumber yet, i was gonna give it another go.

OH CRAP

and here he came....i showed him right off the bat, he was NOT happy.

he wrote down a whole bunch of stuff....i called the plumber while he was still at the shop, and i have to call him after i fix it.

i dunno if it's a big a deal as i'm making it....or if it's this dang PMS.

everything else looked pretty good on his report tho......this is the first time in 7 years he has to come back, i'm sure i will have to pay a fee...or a fine or something.

littlecake, I think most HD's will write up a violation they've noticed, but they give you some time (10 days? 30 days?) to fix it. I doubt that you'll be fined.

Other side of the state...about an hour north of Detroit, in a little town called Ortonville. Your cakes are amazing! I was hoing you lived closer and I had found a local cake buddy. I love doing cakes, but am still pretty new at it and have a lot to learn.

Congratulations on your new kitchen...its beautiful!
