Hello everyone! I'm not sure where to begin as this is my very first post. I came to this website when I was researching how to start a small home baking business. Cakes were really only a "maybe" or a "once in a while." Then I started reading this site, and OMG! I'm obsessed! What a GREAT site! This probably isn't the best place to put this post, but my single-minded obsession for cupcakes and adding them to my business idea has grown exponentially by reading this forum. So...........I want to thank you ALL for everything I've read and everything I've yet to read. Wow! You all are sooooo knowledgeable and great and just loads and tons of fun! And such inspiration!
I've been especially enamored of the "Bettercreme" thread. Never even knew about it. I've since gone to my local supermarket and a Sam's Club looking for it. Sam's will sell it for $31 for 5 gallons prewhipped. Supermarket will sell it for $3.32 a pound--expensive!! Good stuff, though, I bought some and tasted it, yum..... Can't believe how much I've learned about it just by reading this forum. I live in a "podunk" town, though, so Bettercreme cheaply and readily may be just a dream.
Anyhow, I want to ask more questions about it all and I will eventually........but geez this is just my first post and I really want to just say hi and thanks so much!

I still have alot to learn, I've only been making cakes on the side as a hooby. I like to paint and draw so I figured this would be an unique outlet for me. lol I'm still waiting for one of my friends to get married so I can make a wedding cake! Anywho, I still consider myself a noob too... 
FUN! but expensive.. had i never found this site..... i would have a lot more money... lol. oh well. at least I can sell my craft or at least eat it!
