I just wanted to post an idea that went over very well for a recent baby shower cake. Last year at a cake contest I saw a cake that had gears on it that moved. It inspired me to come up with something inexpensive and fun for the cakes that I make. I picked up 2 clock motors from a store for $6 and used them to make the spider and the mouses tail in my Nursery Rhyme Cake move...the spider looked pretty realistic moving on my cake and the guests at the shower loved it. I have a clip on you tube called Nursery Rhyme Cake if you would like to see it in action! To see a still picture just click on my photos.
