8 Inch Round Transformer Cake...no Room On Top?

I have to do a 8 inch round Optimus Prime Transformer cake for friday....the problem is I only have so much room to work with on the top of this cake.How am I going to get a Optimus Prime ontop of that?? 
I am going to airbrush the borders in Red and blue but I need something for the top.
Any ideas..Pictures....images you can post?

Could you put a figure on top? My son is a transformer nutt and I did his cake one year with small figures I found online.
I have no idea how big a Transformer figure you are going to use but when I read the post I thought maybe you could out the figure on the board next to the cake instead since it may or may not fit on top of the cake, like use a 12in board covered to match the cake and put the guy/figure on the board (then the top may be a wee bit boring) but that was what I thought. JMHO...good luck
