I've just gotten Sugarshack's DVD and am going to be icing cakes today. My question regarding the stiff icing dam is can you tell that it's a different icing round the edge than in the middle? With all the ps you add to make it stiff, isn't it sickeningly sweet? Or is there so much icing that it would be hard to taste it? Just curious. Thanks.

There's no difference in taste, just icing consistency. However if you are concerned about a too-sweet taste, add a pinch of popcorn salt. Works like a charm! ![]()
