I recently discovered that I enjoy very much decorating cakes. I have made a couple, but I haven't found that "perfect" cake recipe, kind of spongy or wet that I can use with mmf. I'm noew to all of this and would really appreciate any recipes/tips. Thanks! ![]()

There are a TON of recipes on this site, both in the recipe forums and in the recipes section of the site.
Some of the CC-ers swear by doctored cake mixes, others cook only from scratch. Many swear by the WASC (white almond sour cream cake) recipe. I personally have not made that one, but from what I've read it's pretty fool-proof.
I get most of my recipes from my favorite cookbooks (Betty Crocker, Better Home and Gardens, and The Cake Bible) as well as off the internet (http://www.epicurious.com is my favorite food site besides CC!). I tend to play with recipes until I get them to be what I want. That's the trick -- to get it where you like it, because not everyone has the same tastes!
