cakesdivine, take comfort in knowing that when God permits suffering of any kind is always for our greater good. Through it, we often become stronger and wiser...

Peace and Grace,
Win

I LOVE this! It's catchy. I guess you have to have an incredibly thin skin to find it offensive, especially from a religious aspect. I just don't understand why someone would criticize you over this.

They didn't so much criticize the fact I am a Christian they stated I wasn't much of one if I was placing that disclaimer on my ads.

This guy felt I was in some way bashing others who do cakes with this disclaimer on my ad. But I wasn't, I was just letting the public know the law in our state regarding food establishments. I have erased all his emails and flagged all of them as spam just before I zapped them.

I know who I am, I felt like saying...Hi there Pot, I'm Kettle, with his remark of saying I wasn't a real Christian. All his bashing at me wasn't very Christianly of him now was it...LOL!

I'm over it today, alot in part to all my CC family here! I love you guys!

edited to add...my trademarked tag line is A Taste So Heavenly, It's Delightfully Sinful!... I misspelled Delightfully on an earlier post.. icon_redface.gif

I don't know you, so I have no idea what you really meant, but that was rather offensive. I have several "gay" friends and they don't expect anyone to "listen to it", but are in constant threat of being fired or thrown out of their apartments, etc. because someone "doesn't agree" with who they are. If anyone knows about discrimination, it's them.

(I haven't finished reading, so I'm sorry for stopping here.)

Cakesdivine~ I'm sorry you had to deal with this... thumbsdown.gif

My suggestion for further CL ads that you know are illegal home baker, would be to report them to CL. There's a little button to report illegal ads. I've done it for a ton of expired car seats; my own pet peeve. It may be more effective than trying to email each person individually.
Try to let go of what the crazies say. Otherwise, you'll never have peace. And who cares if they judge you? God's got your back, right!

JERK! That is what this dude is. Like everyone else said , just ignore him. Your ad is probably fine. Definitly let people know that you are legal and licensed.

About the religion, I too ama christian (penetcostal holiness). I think that as long as you live what you believe, give no one cause to talk (which they will do anyway), treat others like you would treat Christ and don't shove it down thier throat then you are just fine. Don't preach it live it. icon_smile.gif

I don't preach it, that was the point...LOL! You would have to really inspect my site and actually read my "about me" page to even know that, and honestly I think I wrote one sentence explaining why I call my biz Cakes Divine. All the rest of the "blog" is telling about what got me interested in making cakes, where I trained and about my recipes & baking techniques. I get that he was just being a doodiespec (a family term used as either a nicer way to call someone out on their behavior, or we sometimes just use it as a term of endearmenticon_wink.gif )

I'm over it now, they are his issues mot mine.

The post above on this page by K2cakes makes it appear that I made the comment about gays. I DID NOT make that comment and am embarrassed that anyone would think I did.

That comment can be attributed to enoid in an earlier post where she quoted something else I said.
