My cousin is having a duo birthday party for his son and step-daughter, and i've volunteered to do their cakes. He's expecting somewhere between 40-50 people. I want to do two cakes to seperate the kid's themes, so i was thinking of baking 2 11x15 cakes cutting each in half and stacking. Do you think i'd have enough servings? Got any better suggestions?

TIA
Chris

Yes, that will be an ample amount of cake for 40-50 people.

I'm pretty sure that an 11X15 serves 35, so that would give you 70 servings.

11x15 cutting guide:

cut 7 down and 4 across = 28 servings
cut 6 down and 5 across = 30 servings
cut 7 down and 5 across = 35 servings
