Thanks again everyone! It was so awesome to be featured on Cake Wrecks too! This experience has really helped boost my cake confidence. =0) Now if only I could find a job that would actually pay me to do this.... maybe someday.

Well, the way I understand it, Brea's cake was awarded the highest honor, as far as awards go. There were also divisions, like Specialty Wedding, Professional, Tiered, non-tiered, Junior, etc. Those divisions each had their own awards. But, Brea's cake was the top dog that day!

To clarify the awards-
There were 7 divisions -pro, semi pro, advanced,intermediate, amateur, teen and junior.

There are 4 categories within each division- tiered, non tiered, novelty and non cake.

Each division had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medal winner.

Within each division, a certificate for first place only was awarded in each category.

Best of Show is the overall winner for every entry in the entire show.

So Breanna won 1st place in the advanced division, 1st place in the tiered cake category in that division and Best of Show. How cool is that?!?!

Just to reclarify- The Best of Show winner was chosen by the judges from the 1st place winners in each division, excluding the Specialty Wedding Cake competition. It's not based on points, but rather the judges own opinions.
