Strawberry Buttercream Recipe ???

Does anyone have a good strawberry buttercream recipe? Or can i take a normal crusting buttercream recipe and where it says to add vanilla just substitute strawberry flavoring??? Willl that work ???

I subsitute strawberry for the vanilla and make it a darker pink.

I make IMBC, not crusting buttercream, but I've found that if I sub seedless strawberry jam for about 1/2 of the sugar and water in the sugar syrup, it makes a great strawberry IMBC (this works for other fruit flavors, too).

This Martha Stewart recipe purports to be one from Sprinkles Cupcakes. Disregard the photo on the webpage- it's not the right image (plain frosting shown, not strawberry). The cupcake recipe itself is not that good, but the buttercream is pretty decent.

I just make my normal frosting an add strawberry flavoring. I purchased some from somewhere online and it's pale pale pink. It doesn't color the frosting. I'll look an see if I can find it.
