Hello fellow cakers!
I've been quietly reading the forums for quite some time and I've finally come across something which I can't find the answer to on here!
I'd like to make my friend an orangutan cake for her birthday. I plan for it to just be an orangutan sitting on a cake board (a 3D cake). I've been looking at photos of real orangutans and I'm not sure how I would do their fur. Anyone have any ideas?

i dont suppose you would be able to make it all 'wispy' like. . But if you go on youtube and search for the making of a dog cake, Youl lsee how she dents the fondant with a tool and makes it look like fur, ive used the same technique for a cat cake , i cant realyl explain it so your best of watching the vid
