There are several free vendor advertising sites that will send you leads/inquiries from potential customers.
I just wanted to know if anyone has ever purchased any of them and if they have worked out for you?
TIA
Glad you asked! I wondered if it is worth it to buy too. I was just looking at Decidio and their leads. They show the details to you and most of them were below what I would charge (most wanted favors for $1 or less each and cakes the same price per serving!).One thing that stopped me from buying a lead this morning was the fact that you had to put at least $20 into your "bank" to buy leads.
I am in a program now where I basically bought the leads. They also do some advertising for me. I will not do it again.
It would have been more efficient to just flush the money.
I purchased my very first lead from Decidio last week and my lead booked with me right away. Apparently I'm the only one that is willing to do her design. It's worked out well for me so far. Decido seems to be the cheapest at $1 per lead. I think weddingwire(?) is $2-$3/lead.
I have booked several cakes through Decidio.com but I don't purchase very lead either. I'm pretty picky about which ones I will purchase. They have not all booked with me but my $20 has lasted me months and I've made my money back 50 times over....In my opinion - if you are in a large area - it could be worth it. What's the least that could happen?
I have a standard form letter I sent to each bride so that they know it is legitimate and that their information was referred to me. I'd be happy to share it if you'd like - just PM me...

We've got one here in Canada called Bridal Services Network that I have been using - it costs $0.75 for new leads, and as the lead gets older, the cost goes down until it is free. You can also pay a "premium service" to get your name up top and highlighted - this costs $0.10 per click (or free for those brides who multiple click you!) every time a bride links to your website. I have been getting great feedback from the "pay-per-click" service, not so much with the "pay-per-lead" (although I have been picky about who I contact!).
For those Canucks who are interested, the website is https://www.bridalnetwork.net/
For 2008: I spent about $1200 with Respond.com and booked over $6000 in business.
Knot: Spent about $1200 and booked $7000 in business.
I've been on a couple of others less than a year, which is my measuring line to see if it's worth it, so it's still in the trial stage.
