I am wanting to make a sunflower with the oreo in the middle. Do i do the bottom petels first and then add the oreo and then the next layer of petals? I just think these are so cute and i just want to make them. Any tips would be helpful.

Do you have a picture of what you are wanting to make?

I assume you mean the sunflowers out of Hello Cupcake! I made them this week. You do start with the bottom row then do the top row slightly overlapping. One problem I ran into is that my decorators cream cheese icing was way too soft, my flowers looked so wilted! I had to add so much powdered sugar to stiffen it! Don't forget the lady bugs!

I have a picture of the one I did in the gallery. I like to use the mini oreo. Put the oreo down and do the bottom row of petals. I like to use tip 352 for the petals. Then do the top row of petals . I hope that helps!
Cupcakes.

You may want to start a new thread to ask your question... You'll get more answers that way thumbs_up.gif
