Hi everyone, new to cake decorating...I want to make a Harley Davidson cake using black (chocolate mm fondant) then adding black....thanks for all the forums, I hear it's easier this way...Anyways,
How would I do the Harely Davidson logo on top of the cake...
I have piping gel, should I print the logo on paper (reverse), tape to wax paper, use small tip with piping gel and outline the logo and transfer to cake (by pressing) thus leaving on outline on the cake which I could trace over with appropriate buttercream icing colors...hope my questions make sense...the cake I want is attached, it was made by a CC'er who did an awesome job..

You shouldn't have any problem doing it with piping gel, or you can gently use a pin and prick the outline onto the fondant and then fill it in with fondant. Either way should work good.

I have done 2 Harley logo cakes(in my pics). My first one was FBCT and second was done as a chocolate transfer. The chocolate transfer logo, was alot easier and I think looked better.
It's a hard logo to do with the lettering so close.PITA
