Anyone Have A Recipe For Halvah?

I'd like to try my hand at making sesame halvah. Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for sesame halvah and it's variations? I'd like the traditional non-dairy version.

Did you ever get this recipe? Arthur Schwartz (The Food Maven) has one on his site which is non-dairy. I've tried a few of his recipes, and have enjoyed them all. Here's the link to his recipe -

For me, it's too much work. I just buy Joyva in the can.

Thanks Theresa,

I appreciate the welcome. We've been here since August. I haven't really found NJ particulary warm and welcoming so far. I miss NC more than I ever would have imagined and most days I really just want to go home!

I've never tried his recipes, but I will now. I'm actually working for a company that makes awesome halvah, but I'd rather learn to make it instead of continuing to buy it.
