Hi everyone!
I had just purchased silicone baking pans, and have never used them before. Is there any special instruction on using those? Do I grease them the same as I would for my regular metal pans? Do they actually live up to their standards as being great for baking with?
Thanks,
Kimzie
I lightly spray before baking. I like them to work with, it's nice that you can use them for other than just baking.
I recommend putting the silicone bakeware on a cookie sheet though for easier removal from the oven. It may increase the baking time a little.
Hi leahs,
Yes they're those flexible baking pans. Got them on sale
So wanted to try them out and try to compare them to my metal pans.
Hi Suela,
Thank you for the advise on using those. I will diffinatly put them on a cookie sheet while baking (makes sense, they are flexible, lol). Can I also just grease them with shortening and lightly flour them?? I use that method which works for me when I use my metal pans. ![]()
