Has anyone ever baked cupcakes without liners? I want to do this so I can fill the cupcakes from the bottom and then place them in liners. I'm dipping the tops in chocolate ganache and I don't want there to be a divot on top where I usually fill my cupcakes. If someone has baked cupcakes and then placed them in liners, I'd like to know how they turned out. Did they look OK? Thanks!
I do it quite a bit, never had a problem.... I spray and lightly flour. HTH
Thanks kaat. May I ask--when you place the baked cupcake in a liner, does it fit well? Or does the pleated liner not want to "accept" the straight sides of the cupcake? Am I being obsessive? Yes! LOL ![]()
Sometimes it can be a bit persnikity, just because the liners haven't filled out, but I find that more with the minis because they are so light they don't always sit quite right. The weight of a regular size should be enough to make it sit properly.
Thanks kaat. That all makes perfect sense. And since mine will be filled with pastry cream, I'm sure they will be heavy enough. ![]()
Here are the cupcakes. They are Boston Cream with a small fondant flower decoration.
