Oh, and I almost forgot to add that this Dr. runs commercials on t.v. using past patients touting his wonderful abilities to correct their eye problems. I could literally throw a brick at the t.v. every time I see them!! Thanks, for the cyber-hug, Mel!! I appreciate it!!
I would speak with an attorney. If anything, at least you would know whether or not you are able to take further action.
Again, I am so sorry this happened to you. (((hugs)))
I want lasik so bad but just can't afford it. Also, not sure if I would be a good candidate. I know if I go in I will have to get the multifocal contacts because I have to remove my glasses to read now. Haven't been able to wear contacts in over a year because of the reading issue. I just wear my glasses and remove them if I have to read.
Christeena I'd speak to a lawyer. If all the waiver paperwork they have us sign before medical procedures actually meant much, doctors wouldn't need malpractice insurance. You can also contact the medical board and make a complaint there.
Txcupcake....you mentioned that you couldn't wear contacts. Do you have tygesons disease of the eye? I haven't been able to wear contacts for a while because of this disease. Its a corneal disease so I'm not sure if Lasik is an option. Just wondering if yours was the same.
