I get mine from a local specialty baking and spice shop. If you have anything like that in your area I would try there. I know I have not been able to find it in major groceries or Walmart.

I found mine in the grocery store where the popcorn is. Morton sells the fine salt. Hope you find it.

Well who woulda thought to check there! icon_redface.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Now I will have to check my grocery store. I hate it when they can't keep all of the same thing in the same aisle!

I just have to say that there is no logic whatsoever when it comes to the way grocery store shelves are stocked. I used to work for a chain, and they would change the shelves every few months to allow for new products. We would just look at those papers sometimes and wonder what they were thinking?!?!

The one time I found the popcorn salt over by the popcorn. But read the ingredients, the one I found had MSG in it. (and it said salt, not seasoning)

Popcorn seasoning is not the same thing. Popcorn salt is just a really super fine grain of salt. I have mashed regular salt to almost a dust before...if you can do that, it'll work the same. icon_wink.gif

Popcorn salt is used because it desolves faster than regular salt. If you can't find the popcorn salt you can use regular salt, just give it longer to desolve in your liquid.

I went in Kroger the other day (I rarely shop there but believe it or not Walmart was out of powdered sugar!) and they have the cake mixes at one end of the aisle and the powdered sugar at the complete and opposite end of the aisle! Now I'm not lazy, but I am "old and fat" so walking ALL THE WAY to the other end ( icon_rolleyes.gif ) was ..... well, it just produced a big giant "sigh!" Maybe I'm just a silly ole gal, but it seems that powdered sugar and cake mixes should be together and not separated by baking pans and pudding cups!

A friend of ours who is in retail marketing said it's all a ploy to get us to walk thru the store and increase the odds of impulse buying. That's why some groceries have their produce "aisles" at angles instead of straight lines ..... it forces you to walk past more items and potentially buy more things.

And why the heck is the bathroom bar soap and toothpaste not in the "health and beauty aisle" with the shampoo and the panty hose! I don't WANT to walk to the opposite corner of the store to their "pharmacy" area! Can we just get an aisle labeled "soap" and put "soap" stuff in it?

If they'd just elect me queen of the world.........! icon_twisted.gif

I had a hard time finding popcorn salt as well. I don't know if the store I went to was out of it (for months) or they just starting stocking it. I found it the other day in my grocery store (ShopRite) with the popcorn. Good Luck finding it!!

I wonder if you could put table salt in the food processor to 'make' popcorn salt? Hmm, something to try, this is hard for me to find, too.
