I'm trying to match the color on the attached photo and I'm not sure what colors to mix. Any ideas?

My guess would be cornflower blue with a little delphineum blue and a little teal. Good luck!

FatAndHappy I was thinking those colors also. And maybe the slightest tab of black to darker it a touch. But that call for the black would be after mixing the other colors first to see what shade they wind up with.

I agree with all the above, but don't forget to let the color sit for awhile before adding the black to let it "cure" it sure can darken up on ya in hurry sometimes.

Thank you so much for all of the replies. icon_smile.gif I really appreciate the help. I'll make some up today and let it set over night and see what happens icon_biggrin.gif

I colored the BC and will let it sit overnight. It's looking pretty close but I may have to add a little black tomorrow. The photo isn't of my DH car but it's just like his. I want to surprise him on his birthday so I couldn't ask where his photos are. I'm trying to get up the nerve to try carving it. If it's too awful I may have to resort to a edible image.

I showed the pic to my DH and he said is there anyway to make it look shiney?? I said ya she could use luster dust. So I thought I would suggest it to you to get that metallic look. Just a thought. I personal have used it but have seen some of the things done with it. Good luck on the carving looking forward to seeing it. Take good mental notes to share with us all when you are done. thumbs_up.gif

I'm doing it in BC but will add luster dust when finished. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't end up with a pile of crumbs.
