Whats The Difference

Hi, I was wondering if someone could please tell me the difference between fondant and gumpaste. I have only used MMF, what is gumpaste used for??

Fondant is used to make cakes. Gumpaste is what is used to make the life like flowers you see. It rolls thinner and dries faster/harder than fondant alone.

My understanding is that the gumpaste IS fondant, with Tylose added, as the hardening agent.
