I tried my first video game system cake. All I can say is planning, planning, planning! Vital to something like this! I began with a template and poured the chocolate onto the waxed paper, then scored the lines when it was firm enough. The inside cake was covered with white chocolate clay, to help hold the dowels - both levels. I should have put the base of each layer together with the dowels first, then done it with the cake! As a result, the cake had a slight lean. It was a lot of fun, but next time I need to plan better. There's a reason people don't do 2" wide cakes! Physics can only be twisted so far!
If it's not fun, then it's not worth it!
