I have a mother of bride bring me the monograms for the top of cake, she brought them to me with the grooms initial first. I told her I thought the brides should be first but I thought I better find out for sure before I make a mistake. Or does it matter? The wedding is saturday. Thanks.
Dont know for sure but I would think that the brides would be first.
brides----last name----grooms
Did a quick google search:
Three letters - Three letters can stand for or a couples first and last names. For weddings, usually the order is like this:
First initial is woman's first name initial
Middle initial is initial of couples last name
Last initial is man's first name initial
So in above example, if couples names were Mary & Thomas Bryant, you would list the monogram as: MBT
Thanks, I knew I get the answer here. I feel better knowing for sure and not just guessing. You guys are quick!!!
