Hello, i'm new to this site and I have a question.

I'm making a wedding cake for a couple in April, and the Bride wants the cake to be covered in Fondant, which is fine, but she wants the Fondant to have a "Pearl" look to it. Is that possible?

I know of Pearl / Luster Dust, but they are usually used for decorating smaller items right?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hiya cb and welcome to c.c.
You can use the pearl dust on your fondant. I would go to the health and beauty section of the store and get a nice powder or blush brush to apply to powder to the cake. It won't give it a lot of color but it will pearlize the cake and make it gorgeous.

Luster dust can be brushed onto any size object-just make sure to get your money's worth for the cake. It isn't cheap. It will give the cake a beautiful sheen. There are some cakes in the gallery that were brushed completely with luster dust. I think they are gorgeous!
