you can find cake flour in any super market in the baking aisle. It comes in a box. I use swan cake flour the box is pink and red and I got it at walmart.
The cake flour "Swans Down" in my supermarket is not by the flour, but by the box mixes.
Mine is called "Softasilk" and it's made by Pillsbury. I think all the grocery stores in my area carry it, including Wal-Mart. The box is pink and red. Maybe it's a regional thing, but I've never seen the "Swans Down" brand around here.
not that you would, but some of the boxes picture a yellow cake and some picture a chocolate cake...at the store I get it, they separate them into two rows...all the yellow cake pictured ones in one row, all the chocolate cake pictured ones in another row...leaving one(the poor soul sent to shop that day)to think there's two different flavors....
It's all the same flour no matter what cake is on the front....just thought I'd share that...
Yep most grocery stores carrys it in the baking aisle. My walmart and local grocery stores have the Softasilk and it is in a box located close to the AP flour.
If you have a Cash & Carry you can purchase it in bulk...I get the 50lb bag.
My walmart carries it in Aisle 8, top shelf left, above the flour, end of the aisle. It's in a box and pricier than regular flour.
