Hi everyone. I am going to be making the dragon from the hello cupcake book for my sons bday. Will be making it Thursday to take to school Friday.
My question is what tip would you suggest I use in place of the ziplock bad to give more of a scale look. I really prefer to use a piping bag vs the baggie.
Also, I am going to be making the bowling pins for his party on Sunday. Any good advice for those? Just get the store bought icing and warm it?? Could I use my buttercream for that or just the store bought?

Sorry I couldn't find a dragon cupcake in the book. What page is it on? Or are you referring to the alligator on page 85? If so I'd use a leaf tip to make the scales (#352)
LOL...Yes, the allgator. I kept calling it a dragon and my son had to correct me the other day. I ended up just smoothing them out roughly. I had used a leaf tip, but ended up with sooo much frosting! I just couldnt do that to the teacher. Besides my kiddo coming in and tripping and messing up some of them! It ended up cute and the kids loved them.
Now for the bowling pins 
They looked well, not nearly like the ones in the book. Im really sad because my son picked a party over a gift from us, so I wanted to make it really fun. Now I gotta figure something else out.
