Please Help With Cake Design

I have been asked to do a sculpted Hippo cake to feed 25 people. It can be just the head. Can anyone help me with this or provide a picture of a cake for example.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you do a search for "hippo" in the galleries, you'll find some good ones. One of them I looked at even told how she did it in the comments section. Good luck!

I would love to know what Hippo picture you are referring to . Can you please send me the cc members name so I may look it up.

Hate to ask agian but can anyone help me design a Hippo head cake that can be done nicely in Buttercream.

mazz, here's a picture of just a hippo head...maybe you could pm this person & see if you can get instructions on how to do this cake.

Susie53 - Thank you so much. I had seen the first picture you posted but not the second. I love them both but favor the second.

I have not been able to connect to CC the last day or so so I couldn't see your post. Sorry for the delay.

I found a hippo cake that was not realistic but fun from the coolest birthday cake web site.

The little girl requested realistic or fun. Her favorite color is purple.

So I will piost my purple Hippo tomorrow.
