Wilton Cake Leveler ... How Do I Sharpen??

I have the smaller leveler & at first I had no problems with it. It would cut right thru my cakes but now Im having a hard time. How can I sharpen it?? Anyone have these issues before? should i just get a new one? its not that old Ive only been using it for like 2 mos

The Wilton levelers are crap. Don't waste your money. Ask for an Agbay or Christmas, even if several people have to chip in. It's the best.

*choking* WOW!! I just looked it up & you weren't kidding about having ppl pitch in for it. lol Looks like a GREAT tool but Im a newbie & I duno if I want to make that investment YET. thanks for the tip though.

Yup, not sure how you'd sharpen it. I have a small one, and I don't see that it has an edge... just a wire.

I am currently lusting after an Agbay!

I dont' think you can sharpen wire?? They are never really SHARP to begin with actually. I just think that over time the wire loosens up and there is not much you can do about it...except buy another one OR invest in an Agbay icon_smile.gif

I do know several people who use dental floss!!!!!!!!

and double wow the agaby is spencive hmmmm ... i use spiderwirer fishing line to level my cakes (located if fishing area most local retail stores wal mart meijer and of course tackle shops lol icon_biggrin.gif
