Decorating By jcaste Updated 11 Dec 2008 , 3:42am by steplite
I have the smaller leveler & at first I had no problems with it. It would cut right thru my cakes but now Im having a hard time. How can I sharpen it?? Anyone have these issues before? should i just get a new one? its not that old Ive only been using it for like 2 mos
::shakes head::
The Wilton levelers are crap. Don't waste your money. Ask for an Agbay or Christmas, even if several people have to chip in. It's the best.
*choking* WOW!! I just looked it up & you weren't kidding about having ppl pitch in for it. lol Looks like a GREAT tool but Im a newbie & I duno if I want to make that investment YET. thanks for the tip though.
Sharpen a Wilton leveler?
You might as well just get out some dental floss & cut your cake with it.
Yup, not sure how you'd sharpen it. I have a small one, and I don't see that it has an edge... just a wire.
I am currently lusting after an Agbay!
I dont' think you can sharpen wire?? They are never really SHARP to begin with actually. I just think that over time the wire loosens up and there is not much you can do about it...except buy another one OR invest in an Agbay
I do know several people who use dental floss!!!!!!!!
