On Saturday, my daughter and I are doing a cookie and cupcake decorating station at our 4H Christmas craft get together. I was thinking of making a yule log cake also.

My daughter tells me there are many traditions around the yule log which I have found on the internet. I cannot though find any traditions around the pastry yule log.

Has anyone ever used this to start some traditions? Some of the things I was thinking of, are having everyone make a wish, then cut it, or having those who want to share a favorite memory of the past year. Any thoughts
would be helpful.

i dont think there are any set traditions, but i like your idea of sharing a memory - its nice to get to know people, it will make them feel good too!
