No we're not friends, her and my aunt grew up together and their best friends. At first she made it seem like she was getting paid to do the cake but further along in the conversation she mentioned that it was a freebie. So i'm thinking 'ok if i help u with this cake at the very last minute how am i going to benefit from it?' I can't take a pic of it and pass it off as my own when technically it is. I'm not going to get any money for it. The only thing i'm going to get in return is one of your cakes which i already know how to do myself...thanks but no thanks!
I blocked that part out about her giving you a cake in exchange for helping her. OMG! What a bargain! Who could pass up that offer....NOT! 
Maybe if you didn't do cakes, but you make them yourself. Did she forget that? When you told her no, did she ask why not?

Yes...i told her my reasons why i couldn't help her #1 I told her that I had over 20 Thanksgiving cakes that i needed to get out and i told myself that once that last one was picked up i was taking a mini-vacation to relax and shop (my stress reliever) #2 I was not going to drive an hour to her place just to help with a cake that i'm not getting paid for or getting any of the credit for. I told her that although gas prices had gone down...it wasn't free 
She's the type of person that you have to put your foot down with because she would take advantage of you. She tries to come around all the time and get my family to order cakes from her but they let her know where their loyalty lies (sp?)...My aunt is 1 of her daughters god mothers and she tries to milk my aunt for everything because she knows that my aunt & uncle are well off. She also use to be my aunts house cleaner and let me tell you that she did more cleaning out my aunts house than cleaning it up...What i mean by cleaning it out is that whatever my aunt had in her fridge she'd cook it up and feed it to her kids...she'd let her kids eat up all my baby cousins food...her kids would break expensive things in the house...She'd have her kids ages 7 & 10 clean the house while she sat down watching tv and enjoying my aunts food..so u know that the house was half cleaned but she got paid her complete fees...My aunt had this crib that converted into a bed and do u know that this lady actually called her hubby and told him to bring his moving van and they took the crib WITHOUT asking my aunt. My aunt & uncle use to work on Saturdays and my aunt use to have to stay home on Saturdays just to make sure this lady only cleans the house. The last straw was when my aunt woke up one morning to fix her baby some food and she found that someone had eaten all of his oatmeal that she had just bought 2 days before...she knew it had to be this lady because no one else in that house eats oatmeal at all...so finally my aunt gave her the boot 
I think i kinda shocked her when i told her no because she was like "i beg your pardon" Oh well...i guess she wasn't satisfied with her work because she didn't call me to brag
