Any ideas how I can secure the stargate ring to a cake so that it is upright and 90 degrees to the cake itself? I was going to use fondant/sugarpaste on a thin cake board but not sure how I can secure it to the cake itself....any sugestions and or pics would be really grateful....

two thin dowels that are attached to the cake baseboard and then run up through the cake and into the cake board -- try to fit in the spaces in the corrugations
