Help W. Making Carmel Buttercream... Cake Due Tonight!!
Decorating By marion123 Updated 28 Nov 2008 , 1:59pm by Cakerer
I made a batch of Carmel Buttercream and it was very sweet and gritty.. Does anyone have a better way?
I made my Wilton Buttercream the normal way and then I added 2 good spoonsful of regular Carmel Topping (It was the kind that you find with the Ice Cream Cones Topping).. What did I do wrong?
Should I of used something different.. It is for a cake that is being delivered at 5:00 tonight...
Thanks so much
Carissa
I use a similar method. I always use buttercream dream but then I reduce the powdered sugar because the caramel is really sweet. Then I just squirt the caramel in there and stir it up. I've also used the Nestle Dulce de leche that you find in the hispanic section...it's super good. Best of luck...as I think your cake has already been delivered.
