I am trying to make a teacup and saucer. I have tried to make by using a real teacup to place rolled out gumpaste in to shape but I cannot smooth the gumpaste and it will get a crease etc.
Has anyone got any advice or instructions on how to do it.
TIA
We just saw a design similar to what you're talking about. It was in Elissa Strausser's Confetti Cakes book. We were at Borders last night during the heavy rains we got.

Hi!
I made a teacup and saucer out of gumpaste a while ago (it's in my pictures), and I used a real teacup, put it upside down and covered it with gp just as I would cover a cake with fondant, trimmed all the edges and let it dry. Just remember to put some corn flour or crisco on the cup so the gp wont stick.
