I'm working on an elmo cake FOR THIS SATURDAY!! and can't seem to get RED frosting!!! I'm using christmas red and no taste red & it's still PINK!!!! PLEASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEE HELP ME!!!

I've made a ladybug wich stayed pink.... Ik did some yellow trough my fondant.

I do not know if it will help you.

You will need a lot of red, I use super red and no taste. Not sure about the Christmas red. If your customer doesn't mind you can add some chocolate to it too, not a lot but this will help. I will get a little darker when you pipe on the frosting.

Add a little black to the icing. Not much, just enough to give it a kind of gray tint. let it set for several hours or over night and you will have a great red. I used this method for the cowboy cake in my photos. The bandanna look needed to be a deep red. It worked like a charm!
