What Do You Use To Seperate Tiers?

I have been using hard plastic wedding plates. Sometimes, I do not get them back as quickly as I would like. I am a little worried about using a plain cake board. Will it get soggy from the icing? I am getting more orders for multi layered cakes and was wanting an easier route. I don't want to have to chase my supplies down. Any suggestions? Thanks
