Whimsical Cake In Bc Is It Possible?

I want my daughter's whimsical cake to be bc with fondant accents but won't that leave tons of crumbs or will crumb coating it be enough

I think that a lot of people do whimsical cakes in buttercream, you should be ok crumb coating it first and then icing it as normal.

well I was practicing last night and only crumb coated it and seems like a lot of crumbs from the cutting and it seems like a lot of crumbs I guess I probably shouldn't do chocolate for my daughters party!

Or you could ice it with the cake icer tip. I don't even do a crumbcoat when I use the cake icer tip and don't have any crumbs...

I think a whimsical in BC would be totally fine. When I covered mine in fondant I had a hard time getting a nice sharp angle at the top b/c of the fondant.
