We are looking for some help on painting on fondant. We read everywhere to mix coloring with vodka or lemon extract. Can anyone make suggestions on what works best? What consistancy should the paint be after mixing? What brand of colors work best? Gel vs Paste? Do you use this same mixtures in airbrushes? Is there better results dying or painting? Someone with Painting on fondant 101 knowledge can help these 2 rookies. We tried to find the "Painting on Fondant for Dummies" book but no luck!! 
I need help too. I have a 3D guitar due at the end of the month. Was gonna use brown MMF and try to paint a lighter shade for the wood-grain effect. Any ides on how to paint?
I use gel colors and a little vodka. Mix the two together to get the consistncy that works for you. I love doing this and it makes a great effect. It's a lot of fun. Just experiment. Good luck .
