Cupcake Dummies?

How do you do your cupcake dummies? I want to use some styrofoam cupcake dummies to make tree ornaments for a little tree to help promote my business (It will be sold in an auction). What do you guys use for your icing?

Any help is appreciated!

You can get cupcake dummies at Country Kitchen. As for the icing, just use royal.

Royal, huh? Okee Dokee! Thanks! Do you think it will hold up as an ornament for year after year use?

Do you ever put a clear coat (aka "shalack" where I'm originally from) on them to help with dust? I intend on decorating them with non food items (like glitter, beads, do dads, etc).
