Witch's Hat Nail

I was recently on vacation and purchased a witch's hat nail. Does anyone have one of these and how do you use it? Thanks for any info.

I have one, I use it for roses, instead of piping a base I pipe the petals around the "hat", it took a while before I stopped squishing the roses when I would lift them off of the nail but now I am quite comfortable with it, and I love not having to pipe all those bases anymore!

You will loooove it... its the only way I pipe roses anymore.
