For those of you who make your own cake release. Can you use sweetex instead of crisco/vegetable shortening?

I'd only do that in an emergency, unless you have access to cheap hi-ratio (that costs the same as Crisco)!

Thanks. I make my own cake release and when I went to the store today I forgot to but crisco. So I had to make up a batch with sweetex. I just didn't know if it would work as well as using crisco? Thanks again!
