Hi everybody. I need a wedding or birthday cake batter. I want to start making cakes and I need a recipe to start. Thanks

I am newbie in this too but I star with the WASC recipe from here CC and after that I try some other recipies and I like them but WASC is my fav. try it and I pretty sure you will love it. I hope somebody with experiences can help you (us icon_redface.gif ) because everybody here are amazing.

there are some good books out there for help with recipes and decorating techniques. The Cake Bible by Rose Levy Beranbaum, Elisa Strauss Confetti Cakes, Whimsical Bakehouse, Wedding Cakes you can make Dede Wilson, the Well-Decorated Cake by Toba Garrett... you can start there. Good luck!

The WASC (White Almond Sour Cream) recipe is a favorite of a lot of people including myself. Plus there are all the other resources that the other members mentioned.
